Frequently asked questions(FAQ)

Rillsoft Project 9.0 introduces multi-user work via Summary Projects, dynamic effort distribution, a capacity view with two values (shortage and coverage separated), percentage by professional role, a free-text filter for activities and portfolio, milestones in personnel and capacity views, a Project Customers tab in the resource pool, and numerous GUI improvements.

Three features are new in Rillsoft Integration Server 9: split a project and merge it back into a Summary Project for genuine multi-user work, group calendars in vacation planning, and LDAPs as the default with LDAP signature hardening and LDAP channel binding.

With the Split Project function a large project is broken down along its subprojects into independent projects and combined back into a Summary Project. Several planners work in parallel while project leads keep the overall view through Summary Project and portfolio.

Instead of one netted average, the capacity view from version 9 onwards shows two values per time unit: the maximum resource shortage and the average resource coverage. In addition, the percentage per professional role and across all roles becomes visible.

Multi-user work via Summary Projects, vacation planning with group calendars, and LDAPs require Rillsoft Project 9.0 together with Rillsoft Integration Server or Rillsoft Cloud. The remaining features are included in the Rillsoft Project 9.0 desktop client.
